Reseller vs referral partner
A referral partner sends customers and earns commission; the brand sells and invoices. A reseller buys at trade price and sells to the customer at their own price, so the reseller invoices the customer and is responsible for tax on that sale. Start as a referral partner if you are not ready for invoices.
Registration and GST
You can sell small amounts as an individual, but GST registration becomes mandatory above the turnover limit for your state and type of supply, and many business buyers prefer a GST invoice so they can claim input credit. Invoices
Every sale needs an invoice with your name, the buyer's name, item, quantity, price, tax if registered, and date. Free invoice apps and spreadsheet templates are fine to start. Keep copies of the trade invoices you receive from your supplier.
Margins, honestly
On an Inditap PVC NFC card the trade price is ₹150 and the retail price is ₹249, so the margin is about ₹99 per card before your travel and time. Your real margin is lower if you give discounts or deliver in person. Team orders and stands improve the average.
Getting paid
Ask for payment by UPI or bank transfer before ordering from the supplier, or at least an advance. Never pay for a customer's order from your pocket on a promise.

Can I resell without GST registration?
Below the threshold, often yes, but business buyers may ask for a GST invoice. Check with a CA for your turnover and state.

How and when are partners paid?
Commission is added to your partner ledger when an order is paid and not cancelled. Payouts go to your UPI or bank account once a month after the return window closes.
